Well they do the samething with dogs... Pit bulls and bullmastives and rotties go to the big scary guys and the little dogs go to girly girls..Its just stupid if you ask me.

I agree with Lynn 100% on that one, everyone thinks just cuz I am goth I HAVE to have some big scary looking snake but you know what.. If I was not goth I would still own at LEST one burm I love the breed I love all snakes and lizerds. And people.. They are not mean as long as you get them as a baby or you know how to look after them right they are awsome to own.
And yes there are SOOO!!! many diff people out there that own something that you would look at them and think "what the hell do they know bout snakes and lizerds? there not big an scary" thats BULL SHIT!!!!! Stop with how people need to look like this to own something awsome bull shit!!! You do not need to look like some biker to own a burm! or some crazy freak to own a viper! Just be your self and love what you have and just end this "gotta look like this" shit! You make it harder for the everyday clean cut guy to own something awsome.

I don't have a stereotype image of a reptile keeper, because I know a lot of different people who are all verry different, but they all have the passion for reptiles. I haven't been stereotyped, but what I noticed is that there are still a lot of people who are afraid, 'specially for snakes! They do ask questions like "are they venomous? Do they bite? Are they big?" etc etc. I think people need to learn that reptile's aren't that scarry as long as you know how to take care of them.
