Hmm shedding, well, I would have to say that shedding is a pain in the butt and can see why they would get pissy LOL
I fried myself tanning last week and man do I itch like mad! I'm sure it feels the same way to them.
Only of my Yellow Bellies that…
perfect tips from everyone and they totally work out. example: friend just dropped off a small male bp that he said was striking at everything and was really pissed off. i picked it up fine. it was deffinitly not used to being handled, but it didnt…
Thank you for the tips! lol I haven't been holding him/her as much as I would like to simply because there is usually people moving around in my dorm room lol and I think it stresses him/her out lol One more question though....when a shed is coming…
I think this is a key point that is often overlooked or not considered at all with snakes. I've been able to handle what other people called "aggressive" by being calm and confident. Also before taking them out, give their back or sides a little rub…

First off, what kind of snake do you have? Some snakes are naturally more docile than others. As an example, on the whole, constrictors have calmer natures than colubrids.
Second, how often do you handle him/her? If you only take the snake out when…
How often should I handle my snake if I want him/her to be comfortable around other people as it is he/she is a little agressive towards others. However, he/she has not struck at me. What do I do? Thanks!
i have only had snakes for a few months now and i found when buying your first snake buy the one you feel most comfortable with. some people start out with small snakes and work there way to bigger snakes. me i prefer the smaller ones i have a black and white cal king and a motley corn. they are both great snakes and corns love human contact so i would have to say start with a corn snake as your first snake to warm up to snakes. but if you are interested in big snake i got no advice with those yet lol hope this helps
