Just when you think you have it bad.

This is a story that I would like to share with everyone. I was looking through some adds on craigslist when I saw one for 3 ball pythons and some rats. It was for a spider ball and 2 normals and about a dozen or so breeding rats. All for 200. I had to check it out, how often do you come across a spider that cheap? I e-mailed this person and got a call back within 1 hour. The guy told me that he has stage 3 cancer and couldnt take care of them anymore. I still thought it was too good to be true.… Continue

I really wouldn't keep them together because mine were purchased at the same time and have always lived together male and female and anytime I tried to split them up they got real nasty and started trashing their enclosure. One goes to the vet and the other has to go along for the ride or the one left behind will reek holy havoc while the other is gone.
Also if you want to breed them it's harder to get them to breed if they live together even though you separate them to cool them down because they are already familiar with each other. Mine split up on their own when they want to eat one on top floor one on the bottom and I close and lock the trap door between them.
My two have never had any arguments or negative reactions to each other and actually are very close and protective of each other but you need to consider IF they have a bad day and get nasty that's a bad fight to have to intervene in to try and break up.

Really upsets me to hear of people that treat snakes with little or no consideration. It's a low life form that would toss a live rat or feeder in with any snake and walk away. People like that deserve the same torture in life for sure. Morons definitely shouldn't own snakes!!! That's what makes our hobby look bad and really glad your Argentine Boas are in a great home now because they are incredible creatures even though they bite big. LOL
