Mite off was a waste of money for me. I tried the oil and it worked on the first try. Just let them swim in it for a couple hours, towel them off and put them back in a cage that has been cleaned VERY well. Let me know how it works for you. Good luck.
didn't brian say that MIte Off doesn't work.
Anyways i would use Prevent-A-Mite.
kk lol a flea collar for cats works verryyy well jus put it in the corner of the cage and let it sit there for like 2 months gets rid of mites in like a day or two also hearts 2 in 1 powder for cats works awsome i use it and have no problems jus put a teaspoon of it in a holding container mix it in with shaveings let the snake sit for bout an hour and take it back out and the flea collar dose the rest
Yeah it does work and it good for the snakes skin, i would def opt for a more natural method such as this rather than jumping into chemical warfare especially when younger snakes are involved.
It works by suffocating them just like if the snake was in water, but you dont need to keep them submerged in loads of it you can just run a cloth down them with it.
Again the key to getting rid of mites is always breaking their reproductive cycle, as soon as you have spotted mites there will be eggs about in the vivs that will be invisable to naked eye. These will hatch and return to the snake for a feed, so cleaning the viv will def help and its not a bad idea to put down white paper towel and disinfect all decor.
The zoo med mite off is a nonsense. you have paid about $10 for soapy water
