not just a show about snakes!

Hey guys
As some of you know, i am getting my first snake soon (baby inland
carpet python). Im reading up all the books, i have his aquarium set up
and everything. This is just a general question.
When i get back from school, i always take a slowww walk. I wanted to
know if it would be alright for me to take him with me, just holding him in the
nartual sunlight. Im thinking that it would be good for him. Its just the country side,
no other people except me walking usually. basically just walking past cattle feilds.
I want to know if you think it is alright for me to do this with him. Im not going to put him down
on the ground or anything. Would be great if you could let me know your oppinions guys : )
Thanks alot!

I take a lot of my snakes outside. I think it is good for them as everyone else does.
I also put them on the ground and let them feel the grass and even my drive way. They really seem to enjoy themselves when they get to go outside...I guess it's like a treat for them.
I'm all for taking them outside for walks :-)

I regularly take my Rosy out for sun and fresh air, she makes this inching movement with her neck in the grass that is just too cute. Could be difficult with a squirmy snake but a walk won't hurt at all. I wouldn't start doing that until after he's settled in to his new home so give it a week or two before starting walks.

as long as its warm out, i take mine out...she actually goes with us alot of places! and like someone else said, get it use to alot of interaction..i took mine to a family thing one town over, and i COULDNT walk 2 feet without someone yellin A SNAKE!! SHES GOT A SNAKE!! CAN I TOUCH IT!! before i knew it i was sitting on the grass lecturing kids on ball pythons, and they were asking tons of questions..we walk for the animal shelter up here too, and the bp's go with us...they know us as "the snake ppl" now lol...once in a while, i put mine in the grass and just hold her tail. i check the grass for ants and stuff first, and then check her and bathe her when we come back in the house.
