not just a show about snakes!

Hey guys
As some of you know, i am getting my first snake soon (baby inland
carpet python). Im reading up all the books, i have his aquarium set up
and everything. This is just a general question.
When i get back from school, i always take a slowww walk. I wanted to
know if it would be alright for me to take him with me, just holding him in the
nartual sunlight. Im thinking that it would be good for him. Its just the country side,
no other people except me walking usually. basically just walking past cattle feilds.
I want to know if you think it is alright for me to do this with him. Im not going to put him down
on the ground or anything. Would be great if you could let me know your oppinions guys : )
Thanks alot!

I take all my snakes out for walks! It's good for them, getting the natrual lights, fresh air, etc. And Getting used to the public, because you will almost always have poeple come up and ask to pet it.

I regularly take my Rosy out for sun and fresh air, she makes this inching movement with her neck in the grass that is just too cute. Could be difficult with a squirmy snake but a walk won't hurt at all. I wouldn't start doing that until after he's settled in to his new home so give it a week or two before starting walks.

Sounds good as long as it is nice and warm out and he is comftorable with it.

I take a lot of my snakes outside. I think it is good for them as everyone else does.
I also put them on the ground and let them feel the grass and even my drive way. They really seem to enjoy themselves when they get to go outside...I guess it's like a treat for them.
I'm all for taking them outside for walks :-)

shoot y not i take the rattlers out for sum fun in the sun as well as my boas and stuff i got a out door cage with a small kitty pool to swim in its very good for them rather than be in a cage all day

Why? They don't have any benefit from it. They don't need sunlight, they don't need uv, they don't need to swim, they don't get tired. They just get stressed and risk to get ill.

It's not bad take them out for a while, but you can't talking about that as a good behaviour.

sure, it's cool...
we take our snakes with us on rides on the Harleys {of course in canvise bags and in our saddlebages} when we go to events like ralleys, parades, even mudd boggs. gives people a chance to see the snakes and educate them at the same time...
plus it lets the snakes learn to be around people by letting them hold and touch the snakes and interact with large crowds...
